Silk’n Sounds was founded in 1998 as the first Connecticut chapter of Harmony Inc., a vibrant international organization of women barbershop singers. We have a broad repertoire of traditional and contemporary songs including jazz standards, ballads, and rhythmic pop favorites. We continue to honor our roots as an a cappella chorus dedicated to excellence in the performance of four-part harmony in the American barbershop tradition. We would love to sing for you. We can tailor a performance from 10 minutes to 2 hours. We can offer 4-45 singers and will adjust to the space available from small locations (like a home, or a small restaurant) to larger.

• Tonight …the timeless melody of love and anticipation from West Side Story, composed by Leonard Bernstein with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

• The Rose ...a beautiful take on a Bette Midler classic

• Super Trouper …an energetic 3 part rendition of the 1980 ABBA hit

• Anthem …an inspiring message about love of country from the recently revived musical Chess

• Change the World…an Eric Clapton classic

• Embraceable You …an amazing jazz standard by the great George Gershwin and one of our favorite songs
